Sber’s headquarters on Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow earned platinum in Forbes’ inaugural ranking of Russia’s best office spaces, a distinction highlighted by the bank’s press service.
As noted by Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the board at Sberbank, the headquarters has a history of notable recognitions for its design and construction. He recalls awards such as the Best Office Awards in 2020 and 2022, and explains that Forbes’ latest evaluation reaffirms the exceptional quality of the buildings on Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
According to Kuznetsov, five of the six operating criteria—building quality, ergonomics, human orientation, manufacturability, and environmental friendliness—contributed to the platinum rating. He emphasizes that every design choice aimed to make the interiors and exteriors comfortable, functional, innovative, eco-friendly, safe, and visually appealing.
Forbes highlighted the working conditions for Sber employees. The study notes the bank’s commitment to environmental responsibility and to equipping the new towers with the latest multimedia and engineering systems. The interior design, aligned with Sber’s policy to create a healthy, comfortable, and safe environment, was also a key factor. Accessibility across the complex was cited as a strength.
“Today, more than 20 thousand people work at our headquarters, and I am confident that the spaces we created will boost not only productivity but also morale,” Kuznetsov stated.
Each building in Sber’s campus houses offices for various business units, along with co-working areas, meeting rooms, and executive spaces. Different floors offer diverse formats for meetings and collaborative work, supporting both individual focus and team creativity.
The campus also features a wide array of dining and beverage venues, meeting halls, recreation zones, and shared lounges designed to foster collaboration and well-being among employees.
Construction of the next phase of Sber’s headquarters, consisting of two towers rising 41 and 47 stories with a connecting entrance area, was completed in the summer of 2021. Two earlier buildings had already been erected, bringing the total to four completed structures, with a fifth under construction and planned to complete the ensemble.
Overall, the Forbes platinum award underscores Sber’s ongoing commitment to creating workspace environments that merge advanced technology, sustainable design, and people-centric ergonomics, solidifying Moscow’s Kutuzovsky campus as a benchmark for corporate architecture in Russia and a model for future office development in North America and Europe.
