Russian Regions to Receive Increased Funding for Water Supply Projects
Russian authorities plan to direct additional funds to 11 regions for expanding and upgrading water supply networks. The decision was formalized in a decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and announced by the cabinet press office.
The modernization of drinking water facilities is carried out within the Clean Water federal project framework.

The primary aim of the Clean Water program is to ensure that drinking water from centralized systems reaches more than 88.8% of the Russian population by 2024. For these activities, 46.6 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget in 2023 and 26.8 billion rubles in 2024.
At the start of August, Rostov region officials announced the development of a new concept for supplying residents with drinking water.
