The press spokesperson for the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said during a briefing that time delays are almost inevitable in a project as intricate as the construction of a gas station in Turkey. He stressed that such large-scale infrastructure efforts encounter scheduling complexities that require careful coordination with local partners. He noted that the Russian side remains engaged with Turkish counterparts and will push forward with the collaboration despite the challenges.

When a journalist asked whether the Turkish gas distribution center faced delays, Peskov replied that the timetable is being affected by demanding work and the realities of coordinating across borders. He reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to ongoing cooperation with Turkish partners and to providing updates as work progresses.

The discussion comes in the context of broader statements about operational timelines and milestone planning for facilities in Turkey. The spokesman also highlighted that delays are a common feature in early stages of complex projects, where regulatory, logistical, and technical variables can influence the pace of development.

Meanwhile, reports from the press agency that previously covered the situation noted activity from the Russian tech company Yandex in Turkey. According to those reports, Yandex began recruiting staff for its prospective headquarters in Istanbul as early as mid-March. On March 15, a full-time opening for a Technical Support Engineer role in Istanbul appeared on the HeadHunter platform, with similar listings posted in English on March 14. Yandex’s communications team clarified that the future center has not yet opened and that information about the opening will be shared when appropriate. These developments reflect ongoing international corporate expansion discussions and the practical steps companies take ahead of new regional operations.
