In 2024, social payments across the Russian Federation are set to rise by 7.5 percent. This figure was shared in an interview by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs. 2 Lentoy.ru2.

As previously stated, social payments will increase by 7.5 percent starting February 1. The parliamentarian emphasized that the rise covers every social payment, including maternity capital, concessional benefits for families with children and large families, and a range of payments aimed at low-income groups.

Bessarab also noted that the minimum wage in Russia will climb by 18.5 percent as of January 1 of the coming year. She explained that most social benefits are issued on a regular schedule, which makes it challenging to allocate additional funds for new payments to residents.

According to her assessment, fresh benefits are unlikely to appear in 2024. Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government would allocate more than 17 billion rubles to assist large families paying mortgage loans.

There was also an instance of a person encountering a Russian woman before she received child benefit, illustrating how individual experiences with the benefit system can vary depending on timing and eligibility.
