Rostov Region Announces 100,000 Ruble One-Time Payment for Contract Soldiers and Volunteers
The Rostov regional administration has declared a one-time cash payment of 100,000 rubles for contract soldiers and volunteers connected to the Rostov region. The decision was announced by Governor Vasily Golubev in a public update via his official telegram channel. The governor stated that a decree endorsing the payment was signed to support servicemen who commit to a minimum one-year contract. The funds are designed to assist both Rostov residents who sign new contracts and those who have taken part in the special operation since its inception.
Golubev recalled that last year the region disbursed 150,000 rubles to mobilized personnel from Rostov and to contracted soldiers from the enrolled troops. He attributed the difference in payment amounts to the regional budget’s capacity and emphasized that authorities will keep exploring new avenues to aid fighters and their families.
In related updates, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that more than 10,000 Russian service members received payments connected to the destruction or capture of Ukrainian military equipment during the operation. These figures reflect ongoing measures to provide financial support to personnel involved in the conflict. — Rostov regional government
