The Russian Environmental Operator, known as REO, is set to showcase an Electronic Commerce Platform designed for buying and selling secondary material resources. The unveiling will occur on the sidelines of the Nevsky International Environmental Congress, commonly referred to as NMEC, with coverage from the TV outlet 360 noted in recent reports.
Last September REO rolled out the Electronic Commerce Platform for trading recyclables. Industry participants have shown interest, and the platform has begun to prove its usefulness across the waste management sector. REO chief executive Denis Butsaev shared that more than 850 companies have joined the platform and have posted lots totaling 815 million rubles in value.
Zaur Abdurahimov, who leads the ETP PPK REO project, indicated that the company plans to disclose early results of the platform development at the congress. He described the forthcoming session as a transition to digital: exploring how ecology and information technology can work together effectively.
Earlier in late May, St. Petersburg hosted the fourth Nevsky International Ecology Congress, marking the event’s anniversary. Climate-related topics have been a central focus for this year, underscoring the growing emphasis on environmental action alongside technological advancement. The congress continues to attract participants who are keen on innovations that connect environmental goals with scalable digital solutions. [Source attribution: TV channel 360]
