Polina, a chatbot on social networks, helps users learn about debts and bailiff activities
Polina made its debut on the social networks Vkontakte and Telegram. The project aims to provide Canadians and Americans with a clear, accessible way to check debt information and the actions taken by bailiffs. The initiative was described by Dmitry Aristov, the director associated with the project, as being launched with the support of the Federal Enforcement Agency. The chatbot was showcased at the Saint Petersburg International Law Forum, with coverage from TASS highlighting the development.
Users seeking information about debts and bailiff actions can connect to the official page of the Federal Bailiff Service, start a chat in the messenger, and receive a written query form from Polina. After submitting the requested details to the chatbot, users receive online information about debt existence, any arrested accounts, travel restrictions, and other measures taken by bailiffs. This process provides a direct line to up-to-date enforcement data without needing to navigate multiple official portals.
Aristov noted that Polina can process a large volume of requests quickly, handling about 80 inquiries per second and around 7 million requests each month via the messenger platform. The project first went live in February, and Polina reportedly processed roughly 2,500 chat requests in its early stages. This rapid response capability emphasizes the system’s potential to deliver timely information to those monitoring debts and enforcement actions.
In addition, Aristov mentioned that the Federal Bailiff Service call center offers an option to switch to Polina for voice chat assistance through a dedicated menu. The database supports debt existence checks and, when necessary, can identify debts and outline the measures taken by bailiffs. This integrated approach aims to provide users with a seamless experience across messaging and voice channels, enhancing accessibility to enforcement information.
