The German publication Spiegel outlined the model and route of the yacht said to have been used in the preparations for the Nord Stream attack, as described in its coverage of the incident through a regional magazine lens.

Fresh details are emerging about the alleged sabotage of the Baltic Sea Nord Stream gas pipelines. The vessel identified as carrying explosives by saboteurs is the Andromeda sailing yacht, whose home port is Brese on the island of Rügen.

Spiegel reports that the yacht, a 15-meter model known as the Bavaria Cruiser 50, was chartered by unidentified individuals through a rental company on the island of Rügen.

According to Spiegel, the ship departed from Rostock-Warnemünde, making a brief stop at the port of Vik during its voyage.

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Russia has requested a joint investigation into the Nord Stream sabotage and accused Western countries of ignoring the request.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Russian president, signaled in Moscow that Western media outlets such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal may be overstating claims about a pro-Ukrainian group involved in the operation. He argued that such an action would require a well-trained state apparatus, noting that only a few entities worldwide fit that description.
