The National Informatics Center and Russia’s Investigative Agencies Face Fraud Allegations in Government Procurement
The National Informatics Center, an arm of Rostec, has appealed to Russia’s Investigative Committee to initiate a preliminary inquiry into possible fraud involving officials from the Ministry of Emergencies. The request was reported by the NCI’s press service and subsequently acknowledged by TASS. The appeal was directed to the Main Military Investigative Department of the RF Investigative Committee, with a formal complaint lodged against officials by the Chief Military Prosecutor of the Russian Federation. The aim is to determine whether procurement processes linked to the ministry involved actions that violated the law and harmed public funds. This sequence of events underscores ongoing concerns about accountability in state procurement and the channels through which allegations are reviewed and pursued by different branches of the legal system.
