MTS has introduced a cloud-based video surveillance service designed for enterprise customers. The offering comes in a flexible, ready-to-use boxed solution that enables rapid deployment of continuous 24/7 monitoring in facilities with minimal upfront hardware investment. This approach helps organizations establish robust safety protocols without the burden of building out extensive on-site infrastructure.

The service enables organizations to safeguard staff and property from virtually anywhere, with the ability to quickly respond to incidents, monitor business processes, and manage operations remotely. This capability reduces the need for on-site presence while maintaining high levels of data security and control across locations in Russia.

According to Oleg Aldoshin, vice president of corporate and new business development at MTS, the core advantage of cloud video surveillance is that clients do not have to purchase costly equipment. The captured video remains accessible even in the event of device malfunction or intrusion, ensuring continuity of records and evidence collection.

As a telecom operator, cloud provider, and IT solutions partner, MTS highlights additional benefits such as high-speed communication channels and strengthened assurance of video archives through multiple backups. This is part of the broad ecosystem of services that MTS offers to corporate clients, designed to integrate seamlessly with existing IT environments.

Setup requires only an active internet connection from any provider, an IP camera, and access via a personal computer or mobile device. No DVR, server, software, or other on-premises equipment is necessary, simplifying the path to secure, scalable surveillance.

Video content is processed and stored in MTS data centers located in Russia in high-definition formats such as HD and Full HD. Access to the service is possible through a web portal as well as mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, making it easy for authorized users to monitor feeds, review archives, and manage permissions from any location.

Users benefit from 24-hour remote access to IP cameras and stored footage, along with a suite of features designed to enhance security. Cameras employ smart modules for motion detection, abrupt scene changes, human presence detection, tamper alerts, and other protective measures to ensure timely responses and accurate incident documentation.

MTS also offers installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of the service, including archival storage for up to 30 days, with the exact duration depending on the chosen tariff. This scalable framework supports organizations as they grow, offering a dependable path to improved safety and operational oversight without excessive capital expenditure. [MTS press release]”
