Sber is debuting Russia’s first educational venture designed for metaverse entrepreneurs, called KoMeta. This initiative was announced by the company’s press service and marks a bold step toward integrating technology education with real world entrepreneurship experiences for young minds.

Alexander Vedyakhin, in a Sber survey conducted at the start of the year, highlighted a key hurdle for schoolchildren and students: uncertainty about how to take the first concrete steps toward launching a business. The finding suggested that entrepreneurship often feels out of reach for younger audiences. This insight comes from the Deputy Chairman of the Board at Sberbank, who views KoMeta as a practical bridge between curiosity and capability.

In a fast-moving tech landscape, launching a startup appears increasingly feasible, and KoMeta aims to reflect that reality. The platform is envisioned as a collaborative, interactive space where young participants can learn through play, teamwork, and guided exploration. Its mission is to capture the interest of youths by presenting business and technology topics in a metaverse setting that is accessible, engaging, and supportive of skill development across social and collaborative dimensions.

The sandbox is targeted at aspiring young founders and individuals aged 12 and older who share an interest in technology trends, science, personal growth, and social skills. It will host a cadence of events, including talks from prominent business figures, business simulations, networking opportunities, music performances, and a curated library of video content. The project anticipates welcoming more than 35,000 unique users to the three-dimensional space before year-end, signaling strong interest in this new model of youth entrepreneurship education.

Beyond passive learning, KoMeta invites participants to craft their own digital avatars, engage with peers, and complete tasks spanning five interconnected domains. Participants can earn rewards from Sberbank and partner organizations, reinforcing practical engagement and achievement. Access is uncomplicated: KoMeta can be connected through mobile devices or personal computers, with no mandatory download or registration required. The platform’s features will be continually refined to align with user needs, and the virtual space will expand with fresh content, evolving into a dynamic community hub for young creators and future business leaders.
