Khabarovsk Roof Repair Case Highlights Illegal Labor and Related Incidents
Six administrative lawsuits were filed against a construction company tied to the roof repair work on the Musical Comedy Theater in Khabarovsk after a damaging fire. The action centers on the use of workers who did not hold proper labor authorization, raising questions about compliance with migration and employment rules in the region as reported by Amur Mash via a Telegram channel.
The company, Ankor-DV LLC, deployed nine immigrant workers to the roof project. Investigators found that five were present in Russia illegally, and one did not have the right to work in any region except Primorye. This combination may have enabled lower service pricing at the time of the contract bidding, according to sources cited in Amur Mash. The six administrative cases arise from these labor violations, and the owner, Mirgazis Mansurov, now faces fines of 800 thousand rubles for each illegal worker identified.
Earlier reporting described an illegal taxi driver in the Primorye region who assaulted a girl during a ride. The incident was captured on video and led to the driver being detained at the airport in connection with the investigation.
In Primorye, a nearby incident showed a female passenger recording harassment by an immigrant taxi driver. Authorities detained the driver at the airport following the recording, underscoring ongoing concerns about migrant workers and public safety in the area.
The record also notes that a prior crime committed by an illegal immigrant could be used as an aggravating circumstance in legal proceedings, potentially affecting penalties and enforcement actions.
