Two residents in Khabarovsk attacked police officers using a grenade launcher. A Telegram channel reports that law enforcement first had to respond to a separate incident involving an aggressive Amur Staffordshire Terrier named Mash.

Ambulance services called for assistance as officers arrived at Leningradskaya 5. They found some people obstructing the officers while they performed their duties. The police asked both men to come to the station to give their statements. The men initially agreed but requested that the police wait while they confined the dog inside the apartment.

Instead, the dog was allowed to advance and was released with a command described as facing the dog. The animal lunged at the officers at the doorway, forcing the officers to fire in response to the threat.

Moments later the dog’s owner appeared at the entrance holding a grenade launcher. As one officer struggled with the dog, another pursued the armed man onto the building’s stair landing. The gun was thrown out a window to an upper floor, but the weapon landed on the roof of a store below.

It later emerged that the gun was not installed. According to the man involved, he had found the weapon in the grass earlier that day.

During the early hours, there was an emergency landing on a flight from Istanbul to Moscow due to an incident involving a violent passenger, described as a girl, requiring immediate action by the crew and authorities.
