Industry Seeks Continuation of Fertilizer Transit Through Azov Ports amid Kerch Strait Restrictions

Representatives from companies that move fertilizers in flexible containers, commonly known as big bags, have petitioned the Russian Ministry of Transport to permit continued transit of non-explosive cargo through Azov ports along the same corridor. The request, reported by Kommersant, comes after a March ban that halted passage via the Kerch Strait due to crossing constraints. Industry stakeholders have enlisted the aid of the business ombudsman, Boris Titov, seeking a solution that would keep freight flows steady despite mounting pressures.
