A veteran leader in online recruitment has passed away at 55, according to a statement from HeadHunter. The company confirmed the news through its press service and Telegram channel, expressing sincere sadness over the loss.
According to HeadHunter, Mikhail Zhukov assumed the role of company president in March of last year and had served as general director for 15 years, from 2008 to 2022. Under his leadership, the organization grew from a regional player into a prominent force in the global online recruitment market, shaping how employers connect with candidates on a wide scale.
The farewell message from the company described Zhukov as an irreparable, untimely loss and extended condolences to his family and close friends. The note reflected on the personal and professional impact he had on colleagues and the broader employment community.
HeadHunter has also been developing new tools and services. In October, the platform introduced Career Marketplace, a space where mentors, career counselors, and psychologists offer guidance to job seekers seeking employment and career advancement. This initiative aims to broaden access to coaching and professional development resources, complementing the core job-matching services the platform has long provided.
Earlier, Rambler&Co was listed among the top three employers in media according to HeadHunter. This context helps illustrate the network and reach that the company has cultivated across industries and regions.
