Since February 2022, support from the European Union for Ukraine has totaled around 20 billion euros. This figure was noted by a EU Foreign Service spokesperson, highlighting that the assistance comprises both bilateral deliveries of defense equipment from individual member states and funding from the European Peace Facility, amounting to 5.6 billion euros.
According to a respected economic think tank, Germany stands as the largest supplier of weapons to Ukraine among European countries. Since last February, German authorities have supplied equipment valued at roughly 7.5 billion euros to the Ukrainian armed forces. Following Germany in the rankings are Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden. Reports indicate that military expenditures to support Ukraine have surpassed 1 billion euros in this period.
Meanwhile, a senior Russian parliamentary figure has questioned the quality and operational readiness of some of the weapons sent to Ukraine. He pointed out that while procurement volumes may be high, questions remain about whether the firearms and systems can be reliably used in real combat situations.
