Yandex Market has implemented a strategy to ensure that original seller content stays distinct from competing listings. Starting August 15, any interior photos, video reviews, shop names, and product descriptions will be tied exclusively to the creators of those assets. Content from other retailers will not be embedded within these materials. This approach helps preserve the authenticity of each seller’s presentation and strengthens trust with shoppers who value original context when evaluating offers.

Marketplace vendors expect this change to clarify the marketplace landscape, allowing buyers to compare items while understanding the source behind each presentation. The goal is to empower customers with richer, seller-specific information that supports informed decisions rather than generic, shared descriptions that could blur brand differences.

Currently, popular brand products may appear on a single product card in Yandex Market, consolidating multiple offers for the same item from different sellers. This consolidation simplifies the buying process, enabling shoppers to quickly identify the best option among competing offers. It also helps users assess variations in price, shipping details, and seller assurances without leaving the page to compare multiple listings.

In addition, the platform will separately display a store rating, user reviews, and the evaluator scores for a seller’s products. This separation ensures that feedback tied specifically to the store and to individual items can be analyzed on their own terms, giving buyers a clearer sense of reliability for both the seller and the product itself.

For instance, if a shopper purchases a washing machine and publishes feedback on its performance, that review will be linked to the particular seller’s offer. The outcome is a store-specific review profile and product rating that reflect the seller’s distinct performance, rather than being diluted by reviews of similar items sourced from other sellers. This approach helps prevent cross-seller comparison bias and enhances transparency for Canadian and U.S. shoppers who rely on credible, source-authenticated insights.

When a product promotion appears on Yandex Market and on the associated store page, the platform highlights the content that the seller has contributed. This visibility reinforces each merchant’s unique value and supports shoppers in recognizing authoritative information presented by the seller themselves. The network also indicated that, in the near term, additional channels will be made available for merchants to publish and showcase their content, offering more opportunities to differentiate offerings and deliver richer shopping experiences to customers across North America and beyond.
