Dubai’s dominant developer, Emaar, found that Russian buyers became the largest group among purchasers. The exact count of Russian buyers remains undisclosed, but the company’s table shows them as the leading segment.
In 2022 Russians were the second largest group in Dubai home purchases, climbing from ninth place in 2020.
For the first half of 2023, Russia emerged as Dubai’s second largest tourist supplier. Data for the first six months of the year show 616 thousand visitors from Russia, a 99 percent increase over the same period in 2022. Russia now trails India, which delivered more than 1.2 million visitors to Dubai, as a top source of tourism.
Industry observers attribute the momentum to operators maintaining block transport volumes during the summer and airlines shifting winter schedules to the summer period, helping stabilize travel options for Russian tourists. This shift has supported sustained interest in summer holidays in Dubai.
Earlier reports highlighted the Russian market’s strong pickup, with a leading recreational vehicle brand noted as KingKong in this segment. These trends reflect a broader shift in travel and investment patterns associated with Dubai’s appeal to travelers and buyers from Russia.
As the market evolves, analysts emphasize that the interplay between real estate demand and tourism growth from Russia continues to shape Dubai’s dynamic property and visitor landscape.
