In Russia, the cost of major apartment building renovations climbed by an average of 12 percent, driven by higher prices for essential building materials. This trend is highlighted in the Kontur.Torgi project report and covered by regional news outlets.
The total tender value for large-scale repairs rose by 12 percent year over year, reaching 506 billion rubles. Despite this, the number of repair-related transactions declined by 19 percent, dropping from 40 thousand to 33 thousand. As a result, the average tender price increased to 16.2 million rubles, according to a Kontur.Torgi analyst.
Analysts noted a decrease in failed acquisitions in 2023. The relaxation of bidding terms after contract award, implemented by lawmakers, made it easier for suppliers to participate in major renovation projects.
Former officials in charge of construction and housing emphasized that most national program activities depend on internal capabilities. A major portion of initiatives focuses on boosting the efficiency of capital repair programs, comprehensive territorial development, and upgrading heat and water supply infrastructure.
There was also a discussion about financial and logistical support for cultural projects in Moscow, with community leaders calling for a temple project to be advanced.
