According to Rospatent, on March 13 Beeline secured a patent for using a shortened version of its company logo, which features a dotted capital letter b. This development has been reported by DEA News. The company stressed that this emblem serves as an alternative to the primary logo and has been in use since 2022.

Beeline noted that the first appearance of the letter b happened as an icon during the test build of a mobile application, and customers can now see it across Beeline products. The firm added that registering a logo is a standard legal procedure practiced by many businesses.

In a separate analysis from Beeline.Analytics, the service indicated that the volume of voice calls made by Beeline subscribers in 2022 fell by 9.7 percent compared with 2021. This shift aligns with a broader pattern observed among Russian telecom operators, where the year-over-year decline in voice traffic has persisted for several years. Industry observers note that the pace of calls tends to decrease at relatively similar rates across competing operators each year.

Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, commented that the observed reduction in voice calls is part of a longer-term industry-wide trend rather than an isolated occurrence. He explained that carrier networks in the region have experienced a steady, ongoing drop in traditional voice usage as customers migrate to data-driven services and digital communication solutions. This behavior is shaping strategic decisions for operators as they adapt to evolving consumer preferences and technology adoption across North American audiences, including Canada and the United States. The conversation about branding, including logo protection, sits alongside these shifts as providers emphasize clear visual identity and regulatory compliance to strengthen consumer recognition and trust in competitive markets.
