Beeline, together with Brand Analytics, released a public rating of key players in the artificial intelligence sector in Russia. The announcement came through Beeline’s press service. The rating highlights eight principal candidates and four additional contenders as notable in the AI landscape.

The rating is described as being built by a trained neural network that analyzes data drawn from open sources. Specifically, the datasets relied on media reports and broadcasts from open Telegram channels focused on artificial intelligence for the year 2022.

Beeline reported that more than 5 billion media items and Telegram channel posts were scanned to identify mentions of AI and to assemble the underlying data. From one million publications found, duplicates were removed, leaving roughly 500 thousand unique material strings that were used to train the neural network and to construct the rating.

Konstantin Romanov, Beeline’s director of artificial intelligence and digital products, explained that the company routinely develops and refines solutions grounded in big data and AI on a daily basis. He emphasized that Beeline continually analyzes developments across technology, science, education, and industry to craft customer-focused solutions that carry national significance.

Romanov noted that Beeline’s AI and Digital Products team possesses enough machine learning expertise to build a system capable of detecting implicit patterns and delivering a broad view of the AI market. The objective was to produce a rating with a particular spirit while staying neutral. “We believe we achieved that,” he remarked.

Natalya Sokolova, managing partner at Brand Analytics, pointed out that applying machine learning, especially natural language processing, stands as a central pillar in advancing social media analytics.

She added that it is crucial for market players not only to monitor AI news but also to maintain visibility into the field’s leaders. This project, she said, turned out to be insightful. The rating integrates multiple dimensions: media activity by the players, the level of media interest around the topic and each company, and the level of discussion on social platforms. Viewing the situation through these three angles, she suggested, is a highly promising method for gauging the AI landscape and informing strategic decisions for participants across the sector.
