According to the bank’s press service, companies that have a linked salary project with Sberbank will gain access to a streamlined salary payment service through a QR code. This integration is designed to simplify how salaries are issued and received, cutting several manual steps from the payroll workflow.
Ekaterina Gartseva, director of the Social and Salary Solutions department at Sberbank, emphasized that the new service will accelerate the interaction between employers and employees. By enabling instant access to salary transfers via QR codes, the process becomes almost instantaneous, reducing delays and enhancing overall efficiency for both sides of the payroll relationship.
The spokesperson noted that using the service will be free of charge for participating employers, removing a potential cost barrier and encouraging broader adoption. This no-fee model supports organizations of varying sizes by simplifying budgeting around payroll management and digital onboarding for new employees.
Gartseva also highlighted the environmental benefits linked to digital payroll solutions. By digitizing the payment process, the system minimizes the need for paper-based transactions and reduces the associated waste, aligning payroll operations with broader sustainability goals that many firms are prioritizing today.
From a functional perspective, the bank explains that employers can generate a QR code for SberBusiness legal entities directly from the Internet Bank interface. Once created, the code can be shared with employees, enabling a seamless salary distribution path that leverages the bank’s digital infrastructure for faster, more secure transfers.
In cases where employers prefer traditional methods, the service offers a paper salary transfer option. When this route is selected, employees will receive a notification within the application, ensuring they are aware of the payment method and expected timing without disrupting the established payroll cycle. This flexibility ensures continuity for employers who operate in mixed digital and paper processes while maintaining clear communication with staff.
