State Moldovan airline Air Moldova has informed customers that all flights are cancelled through 31 July due to ongoing financial difficulties. The carrier indicated that passengers will be notified by email about options to rebook or obtain refunds once services resume.

The company is actively processing passenger compensation claims related to the disrupted schedules. Online purchases will be refunded to the original payment method. For tickets bought through travel agencies, refunds may be issued in cash or by card when the airline resumes commercial and operational activities.

Air Moldova had originally planned to resume flights on 30 June. The Moldovan civil aviation authority estimated that around 30,000 passengers were affected by the cancellations.

Flight cancellations began on 2 March as the airline faced a range of operational and financial challenges. Airline representatives said management efforts to pull Air Moldova out of the crisis had not yet yielded positive results. In line with its plan to compensate customers for canceled flights, the Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority conducted an unscheduled inspection of the carrier. Air Moldova subsequently filed for court authorization to pursue a restructuring, a move intended to attract investors and stabilize operations.

There were earlier inquiries from Russian airlines seeking state support amid the broader regional context.
