Aeroflot Group has finalized a comprehensive international leasing arrangement with BOC Aviation, headquartered in Ireland, covering nine aircraft. The agreement was announced through the group’s official communications channels, signaling a steady approach to expanding and modernizing the fleet while maintaining prudent financial discipline across its global network. The arrangement aligns with Aeroflot’s broader strategy to secure stable financing for progressive fleet renewal and operational reliability in Canada, the United States, and beyond.

In parallel developments, ownership transfers of the involved aircraft were completed to Insurance Company NSK LLC, which executed the necessary settlement payments. Aeroflot confirmed that the lessors have paused claims against Russia under both insured policies and leasing agreements tied to Pobeda Airlines LLC and Rossiya Airlines JSC. These pauses reflect a coordinated risk management effort among lessors, insurers, and the carrier to preserve continuity of service and protect stakeholder value amid fluctuating market conditions.

On October 12, Aeroflot finalized the insurance payment process for four aircraft with the Irish lessor CDB Aviation, marking an important milestone in stabilizing fleet financing and ensuring ongoing service continuity. This move enhances the group’s ability to meet demand across major domestic and cross-border corridors, including routes connecting North America and Europe, while maintaining resilience in operations where regulatory and economic environments demand careful capital planning.

Earlier in October, Aeroflot completed an insurance agreement covering 17 aircraft with the Irish lessor SMBC Aviation Capital. The expansion of this coverage underscores the airline group’s approach to diversified financing and risk management across its expanding fleet, enabling more flexible scheduling and capacity management to support customers and freight operations in Canada and the United States during market recovery phases.

In a notable milestone for maintenance and international collaboration, Aeroflot conducted a maintenance and repair operation that marked its first dispatch of an aircraft to Iran for technical service. The wide-body Airbus A330-300 arrived in Tehran and is receiving support from Mahan Air, Iran’s leading carrier, with on-ground experts assisting in the servicing process. This cooperative effort illustrates how cross-border partnerships can bolster maintenance capabilities, extend fleet life, and enhance resilience for international operations where technical specialists and spares networks are essential to uptime.

Previously, Aeroflot had announced plans to resume the Moscow to Yakutsk route, signaling an emphasis on reconnecting regional markets and preserving important domestic connections for passengers and cargo alike. The renewed service pattern is aimed at widening access to remote regions, stabilizing regional travel and freight flows, and supporting local economies as market conditions improve. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to restore diverse route networks, maintain reliable schedules, and sustain customer confidence across both passenger and cargo segments.
