The Latvian Ministry of Economy said that the interruption of the supply of “Gazprom” will not affect the citizens.

The head of the Ministry of Economy of the Baltic Republic, Ilze Indriksone, said that the decision of the Russian “Gazprom” to temporarily stop deliveries “will not significantly change anything” for Latvian residents. Announced on the air Latvian radio.

“We cannot count on long-term deliveries from Russia,” the official said.

According to Indriksone, the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Klaipeda has now become a priority.

“I think this is a step of intimidation on behalf of Russia,” says the head of the department.
