At the same time, the price of foreign corporate and government bonds in the portfolios of retail investors rose from 1.3 trillion to 1.4 trillion rubles.

On the contrary, in 2021 there was an increase in the volume of investments by private traders in foreign assets, which, according to the Bank of Russia, was affected, among other things, by the launch of trading in the shares of foreign issuers. Since the beginning of March, European depository institutions Euroclear and Clearstream have stopped serving Russian investors through the National Settlement Depot (NSD), which is part of the Moscow Stock Exchange.
