Russia’s ambassador to Vienna says Austria cannot replace Russian gas 01:48

Austria will not be able to replace gas from Russia in the near future. This is what he said in an interview with the newspaper. “News” said Russian Ambassador to Vienna Dmitry Lyubinsky.

According to the diplomat, a possible cessation of transit through the Ukrainian gas transport system in 2025 could plunge the Austrian economy into an even deeper recession and worsen the protracted economic crisis. Lyubinsky noted that there is currently no government contact between Moscow and Vienna on this issue and that there is currently no agenda for political dialogue.
