Russians rush to open online stores 10:08

Over the past three years, the number of online stores in Russia has increased sevenfold. This is what he writes about RIA Novosti With reference to the Federal Society for Network Commerce (FOST).

Currently, more than 44 thousand individual entrepreneurs are registered in the e-commerce sector, which is 6.6 times the value of 2021. The number of legal entities registered in the sector has tripled over the period, reaching approximately 3.9 thousand. Moreover, more than 1 million sellers are trading online today.

The sector began to develop actively in 2022. FOST noted that the dynamics are still ongoing.

“In Russia, about 50 thousand entrepreneurs are officially engaged in online business. And it is important to understand that these are not only large marketplaces, but also small online stores,” emphasized the head of the association, Evgenia Chernitskaya.
