Another Kyrgyz bank has disabled transfers to Russia 08/20/2024, 19:11

Kyrgyzstan’s Keremet Bank has joined the list of financial institutions that have suspended money transfers through Russian banks. reported on the credit institution’s website.

This decision affects major financial institutions such as Sberbank, MTS Bank and Tinkoff. The suspension applies in both directions and is indefinite. Despite these restrictions, Keremet Bank customers continue to use international money transfer systems. Popular services such as Zolotaya Korona, Western Union and Unistream remain among the available options.

Similar measures were taken the day before accepted MBank also suspended transfers through Russian banks.

Representatives of the financial institution later commented on the situation, saying, “The service is temporarily unavailable indefinitely.”

MBank noted that incoming transfers will be made using ruble details through banks that are not subject to sanctions.
