FT learns about Russia’s preparations for new sanctions and the creation of a “shadow fleet” of tankers

More than fifty liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers have changed hands over the past year and are now owned by UAE-based companies. British edition Financial Times (FT) He noted that these ships likely belonged to Russia’s “shadow fleet.”

The publication says some of these ships are travelling along routes traditionally used to transport gas from the Russian Federation, and at least one tanker is loading gas from the as-yet-uncertified Yamal LNG.
