To reduce the risks to holidaymakers, shops selling alcohol within 500 meters of the beaches should be removed. DEA News State Duma Deputy Sultan Khamzaev said:

“I would like to especially note the presence of our alcoholic citizens on the beaches. High temperatures and sun combined with alcohol pose serious health risks. We must ban the sale of alcohol on beaches and near them – I propose to set a distance of 500 meters from the beach,” Khamzaev said.

The MP also called for a ban on the sale of all alcoholic beverages, including beer, in public recreation areas, such as city forests, parks, squares and gardens. Khamzaev recalled that in Russia, getting drunk in public places is prohibited by law.

Before that Governor Vladimir Saldo prohibited Sale of alcohol in the front-line area of ​​​​Kherson region.

Baldo explained that the ban applies to all shops and catering businesses.
