Sberbank announced that it will change the operating rules of two concessional state mortgage programs from June 21 due to the limit being exhausted.
The bank announced that they continue to accept applications for the mortgage program for IT professionals, but have temporarily suspended the issuance of loans. This is because the allocated limit has expired. Sberbank said that it will continue to provide loans when a new limit is allocated. It is emphasized that all disbursements will be made within the scope of loan agreements signed before June 21.
“On the eve of the closure of the State Support program, Sber did not restrict working conditions for as long as possible. The bank said that due to abnormally high demand due to an influx of customers from other banks, the allocated limit will be exhausted ahead of schedule before the official closure of the program on July 1.
It was noted that the acceptance of applications and transaction registrations within the scope of this program will end as of June 21. At the same time, all housing loans signed before June 21 will be given.
In the bank’s statement, it was also announced that loans will be given until June 24 for approved applications for which a loan agreement has not been signed yet but for which a transaction has been entered.
Sberbank reminded that the large preferential program “State Support” was launched in 2020. According to Domklik, since the beginning of the program, Sberbank has issued 868.2 thousand housing loans with a total amount of about 3 trillion rubles.
At the same time, in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the preferential mortgage program for IT specialists has been in force since July 2022. Sberbank issued 30.7 mortgage loans worth 234.4 billion rubles under this program.
