The active implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) will help the GDP of the CIS countries collectively grow by $53.6 billion in 2030. This was stated by Alexander Vedyakhin, the first deputy chairman of the board of directors of Sberbank.
According to him, this result corresponds to 5.9% of the total GDP of the CIS countries in 2030. Vedyakhin also explained that the impact will be different for each CIS member state.
“GDP growth since the introduction of AI ranges from 4.4% to 6.3% of the country’s GDP in 2030, as the expected value of GDP growth due to AI is influenced by a number of factors, including: level of digitalization and level of application of artificial intelligence; “The speed and scale of implementation of artificial intelligence in the economies of the CIS countries and the efforts of national governments to create favorable conditions for the development of artificial intelligence,” added the first deputy chairman of the Sber board of directors.
Vedyakhin noted that the value of GDP growth in 2030 in absolute terms is also affected by the current and projected size of the economy.
“For example, according to our estimates, the GDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan could increase by $25-27 billion (6.3%) in 2030 due to the mass deployment of artificial intelligence. “Azerbaijan’s GDP may also increase relatively significantly: approximately 6 percent of GDP in 2030, which corresponds to 6-6.5 billion US dollars,” he said.
Vedyakhin also emphasized that Sber is ready to share its technologies in the field of artificial intelligence for the application of artificial intelligence technologies in industry, agriculture, construction, sports, medicine, regional development and other sectors.
