On May 28, the Financial Times reported that hundreds of Western companies denied from plans to exit the Russian market due to the unfavorable conditions of such a step and the growth of consumer activity in the Russian Federation. According to the FT, more than 2.1 thousand international companies currently continue to operate in Russia. These include Avon Products, Air Liquide and Reckitt, Unilever, Nestle and Philip Morris. At the same time, nearly 1.6 thousand brands in the country withdrew from the market or restricted their activities.
