American McDonald’s is doing its best to combat the influx of visitors. Chain plans to add $5 combos to menu to entice customers to return to restaurants, writes CBS News.
McDonald’s corporate office executives are still in talks with franchisees about introducing new low-cost meals, sources said.
Discussions surrounding the release of the budget combination began after the company reported a slowdown in restaurant traffic growth. Traffic decreased due to increased prices on the menu.
Of all fast food chains in the United States, McDonald’s has increased its menu prices the most over the past decade. The company attributes the increase in prices of its products to increasing labor and material costs.
Meanwhile, industry analysts warn that the fast-food chain must attract lower-income customers if it wants to continue meeting revenue and profit forecasts.
Previously in Russia was recorded increase in fast food sales.
