Russians want to receive between 50 thousand and 350 thousand rubles as passive income. This comes from a survey by Russian AI investment platform EARNIE. socialbites.ca has its results.
Only 32% of respondents have passive income. Only 15% are completely satisfied with their level of passive income. Another 25% plan to increase this in 2024.
The highest demand for money is among workers in the IT sector. The average amount a person needs for a comfortable life with passive income is 350 thousand rubles. In second place are specialists in the marketing and advertising market (250 thousand rubles). In third place are employees of the state and municipal sectors (200 thousand rubles). Lawyers and accountants want to receive an additional 160 thousand rubles. The lowest demands are among those working in technical occupations. Participants working in these positions stated the required amount of 50 thousand rubles as passive income.
Bank deposits remain the most popular source of passive income; 31% of those surveyed think so. Investing in the stock market is in second place (20%), and renting a house is in third place and is preferred by 15% of such users. Apart from rental housing, there is also income from blogging and advertising integrations – 13%. Only 7% of users are interested in cryptocurrency as a source of passive investment.
The survey was conducted in April 2024 among 5,000 respondents aged 18 to 65 across Russia.
