The number of payments made through the Fast Payment System (FPS) in Russia has doubled in the last 12 months. Delobank reported this to socialbites.ca after analyzing its customers’ data for the first quarter of 2024 and comparing them with indicators for 2023.
In the same period, the total payment amount increased by 2.8 times. This became possible thanks to the increase in the average payment receipt through the SBP: if it was 2,843 rubles in the first quarter of 2023, it increased to 4,020 rubles a year later.
The leaders in terms of average SBP payment among business sectors were tour operators and travel agencies – their average bill was 120,626 rubles. In second place by a large margin are stores selling interior items (45,489 rubles), and in third place are sellers of furniture and home accessories (38,290 rubles). The average SBP bill for fast food establishments has the smallest amount: 645 rubles.
According to experts, the number of customers actively using SBP increased by 34% during the year, and the average turnover per organization of such operations doubled.
“People try paying through SBP for the first time for two reasons: when they forget their card or because the cashier advises them to do so. It is important that sellers often quote and tell you how to pay. In such companies, the share of payments through SBP is growing faster, and the costs of bank commissions are significantly reduced,” said Delobank Director Irina Kuzmina.
According to the Central Bank, the transaction volume on the SBP in 2023 increased to 31 trillion rubles, more than doubling the 2022 figures. The number of transactions reached 7 billion.
Previously happened It is known what will change in transfers made through SBP as of April 1.
