In Russia, pensions for flight crew members, coal industry workers who received their first batch of disabled people this month, and retirees over 80 will have their pensions increased in May. It was stated RIA News labor law expert, St. Linda Ryzhikh, associate professor at RANEPA Department of Business Administration in St. Petersburg.
This increase is part of the regular indexation of additional payments made four times a year.
From May 1, additional payments to the pensions of flight crew members and certain categories of former coal industry workers will be increased.
The size of the increase depends on each retiree’s specific length of service, salary and insurance premiums. In addition, citizens who will be appointed to the first disabled group in May, as well as retirees who turn 80 this month, expect an increase in fixed payments.
Additionally, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and other categories of citizens will receive an additional payment of 10 thousand rubles.
