The information regarding the suspension of the activities of the businesses belonging to the Makfa group of companies is not correct. This was stated by the official representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, Andrei Ivanov. TASS.
The expert noted that the facilities are currently operating normally. At the same time, Ivanov described the news in the media about the suspension of work at the Makfa company’s enterprises as “the public relations fantasies of some lawyers.” According to him, these people wanted to increase the degree of social tension in this way and force the court to rule in favor of the beneficiaries of the group of companies.
“Let me remind you, they (beneficiaries – socialbites.ca) are on the international wanted list. The company will continue to operate as usual. The temporary measures taken do not interfere with the payment of wages to employees, the fulfillment of social and tax obligations, as well as the production and sale of finished products,” emphasized a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
On April 4, TASS agency cited lawyer Igor Trunov reportedIt was claimed that the bailiffs seized the movable and immovable properties of all separate businesses of the pasta producer. According to the agency, the lawyer represents the interests of the co-owners of the Makfa company – former governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich and former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vadim Belousov.
Trunov said that the seizure of property was related to the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation. The supervisory authority assumes that the group of companies and some other enterprises are of corrupt origin. This is because the beneficiaries of the holding hold government positions and do not have the right to carry out entrepreneurial activities.
Former prosecutor’s office requested To seize the assets of the Makfa company in favor of the state.
