Russian gas accounted for 18% of total pipeline imports to Europe in January-February. The share of Norway, the largest supplier, was 58%. According to some analysts, in current conditions it may be more profitable for Gazprom to abandon the long-term transit contract and switch to short-term reservation of the capacity of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
