VTB has been developing the “Family Bank” concept since last year in order to provide comprehensive services to families. In order to provide additional care to families with children, the bank, together with major players in the field of technology and medicine, is launching a social project aimed at reducing the number of forced abortions, the risk of newborn death and, as a result, infant mortality. increases the birth rate. Partners of the project are the network of medical centers “Mother and Child” and the medical technology company “Doctis”, “Rostelecom”, the group of companies “Tsifromed” and the insurance company “Pulse”.

The program includes online consultation with specialist doctors, remote monitoring of the condition of the expectant mother, insurance in case of pregnancy pathologies or critical diseases of the child, online school for mothers and other services.

As announced by the bank, the program will start in March this year in the Republics of Altai, Bashkortostan, Sakha (Yakutia), as well as in the Astrakhan and Vladimir regions. Additionally, a hospital in Moscow and a clinic in Yaroslavl are participating in the pilot. According to the results of the pilot study, it will be decided to scale the project to other regions in the autumn of 2024 and expand the list of health institutions where pregnant women can participate in the project.

You can join the project via VTB Online. An expectant mother only needs to have a VTB Mir card, register for pregnancy in one of the participating clinics and install the necessary applications to register and receive services provided by the program. To expand participation in the program after the birth of a child, you need to apply for the benefits on the VTB Mir card. At this stage, it also includes critical illness insurance and covers all children in the family up to the age of 18.

“Over half a million Russian women will potentially be able to benefit from the program in the next three years – this is a significant contribution to improving the demography in our country and the health of future generations of Russians,” said Georgy Gorshkov. Vice President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank.

Mark Kurtser, General Manager of the Mother and Child Group of Companies, believes that thanks to the digitalization of medical care, it will be possible to increase child survival rates and reduce the risk of diseases in newborns in the coming years.

“I am confident that the new program to support future mothers and children will become a real assistant to the family physician, creating new possibilities for monitoring and treating their health,” said Rostelecom President Mikhail Oseevsky.

Let us recall that in November last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring 2024 the Year of the Family. According to him, supporting motherhood and childhood, improving the demographic situation and providing Russian families with a decent standard and quality of life are among the main strategic priorities.

Also, in his speech to the Bundestag, the president announced the launch of a new national project “Family”. Vladimir Putin proposed extending the validity of the family mortgage and maternity capital program until at least 2030.
