Grain exports of Russian farmers could reach 65 million tons in 2024. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed this at a meeting with farmers. RIA News.

“I think in the last season of 2022-2023 we exported about 53.5 million tons of grain, and in 2023-2024 this figure will increase to 65 million tons, something like that,” Putin said.

The Russian president noted that one of the most difficult obstacles to the development of the Russian agricultural industry is the heavy dependence on products of foreign cultivation – Putin called this “Achilles’ heel.” He noted that balance must be maintained on how much such products should be brought to Russia so that the harvest does not decrease.
