Just over half (53%) of respondents who received cash back spent the money on future purchases. 42% convert bonuses into cash in their bank accounts.
“Today, bonus programs allow you to partially return the money spent and use it for other purchases or savings. According to the survey results, we see that more than half of the citizens do not save money and spend it on subsequent purchases. In fact, this becomes a deferred discount provided not at the time of payment, but after payment,” said Andrey Khafizov, head of retail sales at Sinara Bank.
The bank conducted a survey across Russia on February 15-16, 2024. 800 people over the age of 18 from all regions of the country participated in the competition.
