The last private stores of LG, Bosch and Sony began to close in various regions of Russia. The newspaper writes about this “Kommersant” they cite their sources.

Tech support representatives said some of these stores will remain open until the summer to get rid of remaining stock. So far, retail partners of foreign manufacturers have not closed stores due to penalties their landlords could impose, market participants say. Instead of closed company stores, sales points from suppliers from Turkey and China began to emerge.

According to Kommersant, at the beginning of February 2024, LG and Sony stores were closed in the Afimall City shopping center. It is planned to open a Grundig store (owned by the Turkish company Arçelik) instead of the LG store in the near future. LG representatives said all brand stores were closed due to supply issues. According to the information on LG’s website, the company had four stores in Moscow. Sony support operators also confirmed that the store in Afimall City mall was closed due to supply issues. Three more Sony retail outlets in Moscow will remain open until the summer to sell remaining stocks.

In addition to Asian companies, German Bosch stores also began to close.
