Rostelecom, together with Alfa-Bank, has organized the third issue of digital financial assets (DFA) on the A-Token bank platform for institutional and private investors and plans to use this tool on an ongoing basis. This was reported by the press service of Alfa-Bank.
The parties plan to continue developing business-to-business financing using digital financial assets. They also note that the DFA market is evolving and becoming increasingly popular, providing a suitable basis for the development of intercompany financing and treasury loans with maturities ranging from one day to 3-6 months.
For example, one-day Rostelecom DFAs worth 1 billion rubles issued under FINOPOLIS-2023 on the A-Token platform were sold in just five hours. The third joint issuance will allow investors to earn fixed interest income 21 days after placement.
First Vice President and CFO of Rostelecom Sergei Anokhin said that the company has moved from testing new financial instruments to full-fledged and regular work on attracting financing and managing liquidity with these instruments.
“We plan to further expand new CFA issues to achieve optimal financing conditions. We expect that expanding the arsenal of financial instruments in the long term will ensure balance, stability and flexibility in the company’s debt portfolio, expand the base of investors and creditors, and also contribute to the development of the market for new financial instruments.” said Sergei Anokhin.
Alfa-Bank announced today that investors can directly participate in the CFA issuance from any account of any company or individual. Investor assets are available in the mobile application for individual customers and in the web version for companies.
Vladimir Voeikov, director of large and medium-sized businesses at Alfa-Bank, emphasized that during the one-year period of operation, A-Token received the status of the best digital financial services platform.
“Tens of thousands of investors, including institutional investors, trust us. When a systemically important company like Rostelecom incorporates digital financial services into its liquidity management, this not only helps develop the market for digital financial assets, but also helps increase investment in general,” Voeikov said.
He also added that in the near future, the bank will launch a series of partner issuances that will attract the interest of a wide range of investors.
