“The calculation was made based on the basic scenario for the development of the industry, in which half of the export cargo should be transported by domestically built ships,” the publication says.

The consulting company emphasized that there is a lack of production capacity for the construction of competitive civil shipbuilding products in Russia. At the same time, the biggest shortcoming appears to be the capacity to build a large tonnage fleet.
