Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic Czeslaw Sekierski said that Ukraine imports excessive amounts of food to Poland. This was reported by RIA News With reference to the press service of the relevant department.
Recently, ministry employees began carrying out checks at checkpoints (checkpoints) in Medyka, Korchev and Khrebenny. In the statement, it was stated that the controls were carried out within the scope of the inspection of the supply of agricultural products coming from Ukraine.
“Excessive imports of grain products such as sugar, oil and flour, grain flour, especially corn flour, into the Polish market have been confirmed,” the press service emphasized.
Şekersky also noted that the large supply of Ukrainian goods to the European Union (EU) negatively affects local producers. Its products are gradually being pushed out of markets in the member countries of the regional community.
The Minister also noted the need to strengthen veterinary control and intensify border inspections. The head of the relevant department promised citizens to address this issue.
