There has been a demand for a healthy and long life in society. Sergei Zhdanov, Director of Sberbank Health Industry Center, said at the plenary session of the Ministry of Health “Healthcare in Russia: achievements and opportunities”, held within the scope of Health Day at the International Exhibition and Forum: “Russia” at VDNKh. He spoke about the digitalization of the healthcare sector, the bank’s press service reports.
According to him, the digitalization of healthcare is actively developing and it is also important that it is correctly integrated into practice. He pointed out the importance of participation and cooperation of all participants in this field.
“The development of digital technologies is already transforming people’s lives and the healthcare system. Artificial intelligence is used in a variety of services, from monitoring health to optimizing the work of doctors and medical institutions. This has led to a “leftward shift of the paradigm,” where the emphasis is on early diagnosis and prevention, which helps improve the quality and accessibility of medical services, Zhdanov said.
He stated that Sber and his partners are working on the development of digital health services and artificial intelligence models in medicine. According to him, the company plans to develop artificial intelligence assistants for patients and doctors that will support people at every stage of healthcare.
“The main task is to put artificial intelligence at the service of people,” Sergei Zhdanov emphasized.
It was noted that Sber participated in the Health Day organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation at the “Russia” exhibition on February 2. Thus, an expert session “Application of artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare” was held in the bank’s pavilion, with the participation of the Ministry of Health and representatives of departments, regions and companies. Visitors were told about digital health services and the development of artificial intelligence models in medicine.
Guests were also given lectures on medicine. Additionally, Sber employees offered the opportunity for remote examination during an online conversation with the attending physician. Students were introduced to devices for remote diagnosis and monitoring of the patient’s condition.
