Moldovan authorities will not allow the opening of voting centers for the Russian presidential elections in the unrecognized territory of Transnistria. “I think it is illegal and wrong to open voting centers in an area not under the control of Chisinau without the permission of the Republic of Moldova,” Grosu said.
According to the politician, Russia had previously opened sites in Transnistria illegally because “some people turned a blind eye to it.”
Grosu stated that this time Moldovan authorities will make efforts to prevent election organizers from Russia from coming to the country.
