The agency writes that people living in our country can buy 1,164 liters of AI-95 gasoline with their average monthly salary. By comparison, Luxembourg residents could buy around 2,600 liters of fuel, while in the UK the figure was 2,000 litres.
According to experts, fuel prices in Europe in 2023 generally followed the dynamics of oil. Brent’s barrel was at an average of $80. As a result, by the beginning of 2024, the cost of gasoline in most countries has decreased compared to last year.

The smallest amount of gasoline can be purchased for one salary in Moldova – 456 liters. In Russia, this figure is 2.5 times higher. Romania, Croatia, Hungary and other Eastern European countries are at the bottom of the ranking.
According to forecasts, the average oil price will be 80 dollars per barrel in 2024. Gasoline prices will increase by approximately 5% at the level of inflation. Russians’ incomes will also increase at the same rate. Therefore, the availability of fuel will not decrease, the publication writes.
